I finally finished my alluminium battery rack for my 2kWh packs and i tryed it with 1kWh yesterday..

I would say that i'm pretty impress with the results!

The center of gravity is the lowest i acheived from now on the bike and the driving staility is awsome!

I have 55% weight on rear and 45% front without me on the bike!

the room to accept battery is more than enough

It does'nt squeeze or obstruct me when pedaling. the room for my leg have not changed.

Here are some pics

Makes my typical duct tape and baling wire stuff look like, well, baling wire and duct tape. Fine job! You are the master and I am not worthy.

Nice stuff, Doc. I have similar plans but far less custom.

Purple ano cockpit trim is very retro, thumbs up.

Is that the disc brake install in the back you posted about earlier? Did you update that thread? I missed it if so.

Yess, that's it. The disk just fit perfectly!

Thanks for great comments guys!

Very,Very nice work there Doc
I really wished I had the ability that you and others here at the forum have when it comes to fabricating and customizing your rides. The work you've done on testing and configuring your batts and then putting it all together is truly AWE inspiring.

Great Stuff

Great Scott! I thought you needed 1.21 gigawatts of electricity to reach 88MPH  Very nice setup!

Nice looking rack Doc.
How is the batt rack mounted to the frame? I see only 1 screw going to the bottom tube.

lol.. gigawatt

in the french film version it's 2,21 GW and not 1,21 because the lips sink in french fit better with that prononciation...

so my pack will have 2,21KILLAWATT hour... just 1000 000 times less

but in theory, with this 100V 22Ah pack, i could get 10C so it's 220A at around 95V....... 20.9kW of power out of the battery

Thanks for appreciations!

At the time i took the pics, all screw were not installed.

It have now 2 M6 flat head screw under the bottom tube, one bih M8 round head screw +washer under the pedal axel where the lower battery compartment is... and the 4 sides support on the tube will have 3M VHB tape.

All screw are stainless high grade

Very nize! :D

Excellent pack location.

That bike will handle much better than most of the others.

 Good job.

Now all you need is to replace the 25 lb "Big Iron" unsprung weight in the rear wheel with a Recumpence style RC motor and transmission... things just keep getting better and better... :)

My friend that have the CNC have a ebay business about RC toy. he have the most powerfull rc motor in stock. Like 3000W close to 80A brushless and a ESC programmable with usb port and alot of stuff on it !

that seems interesting..

anyway back to the thread...

check out my latest battery holding system. i currently have 500wh of NiCd in the triangle. its bagged to prevent shorts and suspended from the crossbar with strong chicken wire. i'm probably gonna try and fit more in there and have 250wh on the rear rack too. i'll cover up wires with Velcro to stop it looking like a car bomb. :D
