E-Bike Registration

Bike like enough to look like 29 mph legal, when not seen by police going 40. Id ride it under the bike law, and just slow down to 30 mph once in the congested city. Bursts of faster fine, once you have looked for any cops. But generally, just ride that thing as a bike is my advice.

I don't think you will get a vin number out of DMV for it though. You can still try and prove me wrong. Build a custom frame with no pedals you could. They are just going to get stuck on it looking like a bike, not having as sturdy a frame as a real motorcycle or scooter.

Its not that I don't get your desire to make all your vehicles electric. But man,, if you like riding, you are now in motorcycle heaven. You should eventually just get a motorcycle of some kind, so you can enjoy the wide open riding we have in the west. Overnight to show low, or flagstaff. SWEET!

If you want to get a VIN, your best bet is to get the frame, with lights (and wheels if possible), from a small dual-purpose street-legal motorcycle, and rebuild it as as EV. You'll have a VIN, and the DMV may not even notice when you try to renew its registration. It would still have to pass a safety inspection, unless your state doesn't have those.

Yup. I sometimes get tired of all the wanna-be Easy Riders who cruise through Fountain Hills.
