E-Mtb are taking off. Bicycle manufacturers start to compete, targetting the MTB crowd with low power PAS BB drives.
Still a very limited market, because they are weak and expansive, and target riders that are traditionnally into aerobic workout. Anyway, some are starting to ride them in the trails and this can only help to make new adepts.
There are some here already. I met a Specialized Levo and a Haibike last summer in the mountain, another one on the street that I didn't identify. I will try some next season, to see if I would like to ride lighter bicycle feel. Yet I know it would be occasional, for I really like the high power and speed I have been riding for years.
