I cracked my sub frame seat triangle a 2 years back on Bomber #143, Stealth sent me a new one at no cost to me. I didn't even have to send my old one to them. Not sure if there is a mis-understanding, but if it involves just bolting on a new seat frame triangle, that shouldn't cost anything. Now I understand if the frame needs to be restored and has to be sent back as a whole unit, yah I would have to pay shipping one way. I expect that. Robohead, can you post a pic and clarify what the problem is

Here they are. in super fk*ing high res. Mine is #145 and oddly this cracking is what made me opt to go the NYX route. A new frame would probably be a problem for them because our older ones used the CA and it looks like they switched that to another interface when they started calling it the B-52.

[

let me make an inquiry[

Sure. Otherwise. Vintage bomber for Sale (blowout special) or go with SamD's suggestion on FB to simply spot weld at an exhaust shop which would probably cost less vs shipping one way.

You got another option. I just ordered a mig welder which has the option of running Flux Core and Aluminum spool gun with 85/15% Argon air mixture, In a couple of weeks I will be set up to make such a repair as the one you need your frame. The catch is, I don't know if this will void Stealth's life time warranty and you would be responsible for re-painting/powdercoating. Mull it around and PM me if you are interested.

Hi guys,
I'm currently on vacation and while chilling out was ordering some upgrade brakes for my bomber can anyone tell me the rotor disk size as for the life of me I can't remember if there 200mm or 203mm I've gone for the Hope tech4 v3 in red as I'm just killing the standard magys the pads don't seem to last at all ??

Fellas…
I Was thinking about an e-bikes worst enemy… Heat. For all of you with temp sensors I wanted to see what temps on average you are running. Once I get into it, around 15min into the ride, I'm usually into the 90's and go as high as 115. So I'm pretty consistently in thermo rollback. How about all of you?? where are you at as far as temps?

By the way as I'm sure a lot of you know already I almost exclusively ride off road…

So what temps are you fellas running?????

I currently have my hard thermal rollback set to 130C, but it starts limiting around 110-120C. It's a bit of a different story for me though as I have active forced air cooling and have painted my stator with varnish so my temps will never stay that high for long and the stator is somewhat protected by the varnish.

Cheers

Stock motor w ferro fluid, I have a cav3 so I installed a thermistor, larger phase wires, sealed bearings, basically set up for liquid cooling. Cd I too was thinking of upping my thermo rollback ...I think I'm going to go ahead and do it. I peak Usually at 110 with very occasionally 115 spike maybe once every other ride for at most a minute.

Anyone else got temp info?

abv you can have a limit of 130-140°C
But there is actually no point in getting it that hot. Because once you are over 100 the copper resistance is pretty high which makes the heat curve go exponentially

1abv,

Why not upgrade to the QS205? I hear it can take a lot of punishment before even getting hot.

I can confirm it :D ..... that was the best upgrade I've done at my Bomber
At 10Kw it seems you're on one of these old 125 motocross:

BIgbore,
So you notice a considerable difference between the stock motor and the Q as far as heat management and also performance? Did you have any fitment issues at all?

Thanks!

I'm also interested in your findings as I'm looking for (need) more pulling power, my problem is my bomber is a 2015 model with the latest 4 button CA which I don't think anyone has modded or reprogrammed to date, I have just ordered the Hope v4 tech 3 brake upgrade with the twin vented disks as I was having trouble stopping with the standard magys, the Mrs has a Bultaco brinco and nearly shunted her up the rear twice on our last ride out

Good news from the Stealth Manufacture. After I sent them a video of the frame damage they decided to just send me a new sub frame. It's off getting powder coated this week. This is such a time saver for me in the US v having to strip down the old one, send it to the AU wait for the work to be done and sending it back. I feared riding season would of been over by the time all that was done. Restored confidence in Stealth!

Glad its working out for you. You should post up a before and after repair pic when you can.

Got Stealth Bombers #833 and #834 in last night from Mark and Braiden of U.S Stealth. Got them uncrated and assembled for the Tesla event. Its amazing how much different the current Bomber frame and set up is compared to mine, #143. The front and rear suspension are really nice for guys between 200 and 250 pounds. I credit the DNM fork set up and rear shock with the progressive spring coil. When seated, it feels really plush, not hard like mine, and yet because of the valving and progressive coil, will still have anti bottoming traits. It felt very plush to me with out feeling undersprung. I will post up some pics from the event later in the week.

This is what 120 degrees of stator temp looks like…..There is a reason that there are steps on that path and this picture does not do it justice!!! good god I'm glad I brought water...…. weather here is 37C

And yes that is black gold coming out of the ground….

Rix nice pics!!

AND another thing…

Big bore speak about the Q205!!!! how was it to fit to the bomber frame? do you still have rear brakes and freewheel? Did you need to mod at all?? SPEAK BRUTHA!!!!

And all you peeps with temp sensors I know you are out there…. come on share the wealth! let us know what temps you are running!!

Here is the description of all I've done to mount the QS205 to my Bomber.
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=62650&start=225#p1165502

I want to use e-brake as my main braking system so I designed a pair of torque arms that have been working very well. These are the parts that I designed and then I commissioned by a tooling shop:

This is a plastic sleeve that I designed to fit the motor shaft that I added to prevent the wires from rubbing on disc brake bolts:
20160306_134950_1.jpg

Then I added 5ml of Statorade at my QS205 and that black stuff works very well.
On flat road after reaching 115°C at 8-9Kw the temperature drops quickly (at about 85°C within a minute or so) as soon as I limit the power at about 7Kw.
On deep sand I noticed a considerable improvement over the motor without the black stuff.
I need to climb some steep hills to see what I have there but unfortunately for the moment I'm off with Max-e controller under repair at the factory.

If anybody needs the same parts to mount a QS205 on a Bomber I can ask the tool shop to make another set of parts ..... that isn't cheap

I guess a stock Bomber (at 5Kw) should not be able to overheat a qs205.

Started tearing down the #145. Pack seems a bit puffed, but not too bad considering I had the CA set to 99A for a few hundred miles. Looks like I can shove 8 x 16aH 4S Multistars in there. And Matthew Eklom has a 205 3T for cheap that I'm trying to acquire. If I dumped the DNM rear shock and went with a metal bar this could make a zippy little 1/4 mile track runner.
