I bought a BMS from Aliexpress for my 11.6 ah - 48-volt e-bike battery. My battery is made of Panasonic NCR18650PF, I bought the BMS from Aliexpress here is the link:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/High-quality-48V-13S-lithium-ion-battery-BMS-for-electric-bike-lithium-battery-with-30A-continuous/2025451657.html?spm=2114.10010108.100009.2.1e3a03e7IcOPbB&traffic_analysisId=recommend_2037_null_null_null&scm=1007.13482.37805.0&pvid=aa57f067-f3ff-4b8a-b3d9-ad923462cb4c&tpp=1

I have a sinewave 48v /36-volt controller with 26 amp max current that I use with my e-bike.

The BMS is too thick to fit into my hailong battery. I want to remove two out of the six MOSFETs from the BMS. The BMS is going to fit into my battery case if I remove the two Mofsets on the other side of the BMS. The BMS is made of 6 - IRFB3607 MOSFET. I will have the heatsink cover the remaining 4 Mofsets for optimal cooling. Will the BMS still be functional once I make the change

Let's hope all six MOSFET's are used for discharge. The BMS wouldn't work if four were used for discharge and two for charging.

Assume they're all used for discharge.Take out two, and four have to do the work of six. If max discharge was originally 30A, the remaining four now carry 7.5A max instead of 5A. The controller is 26A, which reduces the max current to 6.5A, 30% more than intended by the BMS designer.

TheIRFB3607 spec sheet says one of these is good for +50A though.

You can't remove mosfets. 1 is for charge and 5 for discharge.
