hi guys,

I am about to buy all of my components for my ebike this weekend, i am planning on doing this online and have found the sources that i would like to use.
but before doing so i thought id ask you if you know of any good ebike stores in LA where i might be able to buy them directly so that i can have my bike on the road asap and save on shipping (im quite reluctant to pay 190$ of shipping to have my 175$ motor arrive within a week or two). (ive been to the izip store, but those guys dont anything about the level of performance im building (oil cooled 9c 2806 with 15fet 45a controller and 77V 17Ah battery)

at the very least i think it would be great to have a knowledgeable person to talk to face to face and to quickly buy repair parts when my bike eventually breaks down.

i currently live in culver city.

thanks!

Yescomusa.com is in CA and you can walk in and buy from them. They also ship free and you'd get one day shipping from them. The 48V 1000W kit will take lots of power with similar rpms as the 9C 2806.

They also sell on ebay and you might save a little buying that way.

Hey neighbor! (off 90FWY and Culver Blvd)

Unfortunately there are not that many ebike stores in the area. I know of one guy in Fullerton https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&...94&ei=XM6KUID7G4TirQHCh4CwBA&ved=0CIQBEPwSMAA

That stocks a bunch of stuff and has premade bikes. I don't think he carries 9c motors though.

If you want someone to have a face to face chat about e-bikes, we should meet up! I also have extra parts occasionally, so I might have loaner parts until you can order something. I'm also going to be distributing some things eventually and you'd be able to see them in person.

They ship for free? News to me. I had to pay for shipping my 48V 1000W rear wheel kit. I paid $289.95 plus $34.99 shipping.
No complaints here. Great price and it arrived in 6 days time. Maybe they run some free shipping at various times.

hey local Ebrethren,, i live in La also (encino) and am about to complete my first hotrod ebike ,,, lets meet up some day and organize a bit

Hey guys! I'm in Silverlake by downtown. Happy to meet up with fellow e-bikers. We could set up a group on meetup.com but maybe that's too complicated. :)

You could always check out Hollywood Electrics for ebike stuff but they are a bit on the pricey side. Although they sell ebikes (stromer and a2b I think) they're kinda focused on electric motorcycles. They're the biggest ZeroMC dealer in the world according to their claim.

For a 9c clone I think yescom is your best bet. I think you can go pick up stuff directly from their warehouse as well.

Good luck w/your build.

i just found another shop that's pretty close to you in el segundo.

Looks like they sell some pretty good brands of off the shelf bikes
