Effects of Cable Length

Yes, thanks WRobinson. I'm using the Ecrazyman 72v controller, so I'm like a beta tester who doesn't know squat, and using it in real world conditions. Since shortening my batt leads only does good, and I get rid of my loops of motor wire hanging in front of the handlebars, back to the pack goes my controller. I didn't know which was better to make long, so I made them both long and utilized a water bottle screw in the triangle as a convenient mount to hold the controller in place. Now it's time to make things better in the correct manner.

BTW, I added the 6v of nicads in series at the + side of the LiFePo4 packs. I've only gone for short rides so far, but stressful ones, and I detect no warmth at that end of the lithiums. I need to ride more to be sure, but I think it may have cured that hot end of the pack issue. I'll be sure to report back once I have more convincing evidence, and let you guys hash out the cause.

This is more of an educational exercise that does not help you one bit with your problem, sorry. For those that want to squeeze every little bit out of the whole systems, it might matter a little.

I think this helps quite a bit really. Although you can't pinpoint the amount of capacitance that everybody needs, it does show the voltage ripple with long wire and amp draw. Thanks for that cool experiment!
