My latest build is for a friend who has given up smoking two stroke oil after riding my Giant NRS electric bike and seeing the light. http://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17330
This one is going to be based on an older steel cruiser frame by Electra, they now use aluminium. The donor frame is an Electra Suzy Q which is the same as the Rat Fink but different paint. Brackets and mounts are being welded all over the frame so it will be stripped and resprayed with the metallic green of the Rat Fink.
The set up will be the same as my NRS, Mac hub, infineon 12 fet, 16 x Cell Man 15ah A123's mounted on 3mm perspex within the frame triangle.
This is what a Rat Fink looks like. http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Images/Models/Original/10533.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx%3FModelID%3D10533&h=512&w=700&sz=46&tbnid=FYMDb-n6UjysKM:&tbnh=102&tbnw=140&prev=/search%3Fq%3Delectra%2Brat%2Bfink%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=electra+rat+fink&usg=__4f2C42MetFVF6_9mNB1oF2hYziw=&sa=X&ei=5NbqTZKEIoSavgP5_LTYDw&ved=0CDgQ9QEwAg
Here is the donor frame.
This is the first stage of the battery and controller mounting system using steel tags welded to the frame and 3mm perspex cut to fit the generous frame triangle.
