Electric Battery Charger repair?

My electric battery charger sounds like my fan dislodged a bit so it's either really loud, or slow and ineffective when it's grinding against something.

Is there a way I can get a fan for a regular Electric Scooter Battery Charger? so I can replace it? or someway to fix it?

I got a (Battery: M1 smart battery, sealed lead acid deep cycle 48 volt 5 x 12v 20ah)

yep, you can find those little fans on ebay for cheap. usually it just needs lubrication when it slows and squeals.

Awesome! hey what kind of lubrication do I need for the fan? that'd probably be the easiest for now.

take the fan out, peel back the round sticker covering the end where the wires go in and then use a tiny screwdriver or knife to pluck out the rubber plug and put a drop of oil right on the bearing exposed on the end. i use regular old mineral oil, 3 in 1 but there is special silicone based oils you can use too.

the screws for the case are hidden under the rubber feet so you have to pry them out, sometimes only on one end but usually both ends.

you won't know until you get it open. it could just have the QA sticker they stick on top of the input caps fall off into the fan blades which happens a lot too.

damn, after a couple months - sucker gave out - damn thing almost melted!!!

Now I gotta get a new charger ffs.

Latest charger a heavy-ish "brick" 48V charger. Runs warmer but has no fan/is basically silent.

I just bit the bullet and got a new one 'on sale!' $80.

anyways I'm finding i'm getting the same real noisy fan again and now ffs I'm going to oil the **** out of it, looking for fan lube (lol) http://www.fancollectors.org/info/Lubrication.htm

looks like I need a non-detergent oil, can I get that at Canadian Tire or something? Or do one of you got a good spot to pick this up for a good price.
