ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE WORLD RECORD SET

Luke...the member you mentioned in your first posts name is 'Juiced' i believe

Yep, that is the guy I couldn't remember. It looks like he has since upgraded to 72v, and then to LiFePO4 though, so he wouldn't be permitted in this class. lol

p.s i reckon i could give your "world record" from couch to the shitta a run to buddy :p

But your record doesn't count if you're not wearing a dinosaur tee-shirt, and you've not been timed at the offical track in my living room and hallway. Doesn't matter if the rest of the world is faster in all respects. That's the class rules for my couch to john world record. lol

I've always preferred the word "bathroom" for obvious reasons. LOL

I agree, it shouldn't be called a world record. That's for the fastest, period. To me their way is like Luke and I agreeing on the rules, and saying we have three world record fastest electric bikes, in the following categories:

His is the category of bikes with dual modified HXT RC motors
One of mine is in the category of blue electric bikes having a 59" wheelbase and a single hub motor at 74v nominal of LiMN cells.
The other is in the Red category limited to those with a 47" wheelbase and running only recycled batteries.

Exactly.

They can claim the record for the event and event class, but it's pretty absurd for them to be claiming an EV motorcycle world speed record, when there is an electric bike out there that breaks there "world speed record" speed in the first 200ft of track, and in under 3 seconds of acceleration... (kilacycle of course)

Yea, if it is a record for a specific event, you can't really call it a WORLD record. That is like calling a specific track lap record a world record.

Yeah I have the worlds fastest 36volt ebike kit on a jamis boss cruiser frame in the 190 pound rider class. :D :D Yeah me :p

I have the fastest accelerating x5306 - 144v 100amp electric bicycle ... and i'm proud ... LOL ...

Kieron said in the video and what is on the web site. The record time was on half charge, there was an issue with the previous motor melting due to overvolting and when swapping out the motor an error was and the batteries where not fully charged.
The category they where in is like a motorcycle TT race. Each bike was classified by motor size and a few other regulations regarding design and fuel. so for it's motor size they where the fastest, even at half charge. It's like if you have a 1100cc bike they are not going to put that in the same category as a 750cc, that would be stupid. The larger motor has much more power. This way the bikes are competing against similar sized bikes. From what I can tell the sites are set on the 220kph then up to 300kph after that. OOOOOO, I don't care where your from that's fast.
