hello all.

into my possession has come an "unknown" electric unicycle that is semi non functional.

here it is....not sure of its make/model...if you know im sure you'll tell me :)

all i can tell is its a 14inch brushless hub drive motor running on a 60v 16s 2000mah lipo pack.

its problem is it will go....very jerkily (like the controllers a bit broken) then abruptly stop (like a low voltage cuttout etc).

my initial thought was a duff battery but i tried it on my ebike and it seems ok.....but that wasnt using this "extra" lead on the battery that im guessing is some sortof controll/monitoring device that feeds extra into the controller.

so...
1. what is it (make/model)?
2. any ideas whats up with it?
3. failing the fix i like the idea of putting the motor on a smal/ "monkey/mini" bike with a new controller etc.... so advice for that also please?

thanks in advance
Jim

There are so many that look almost identical except for just a couple of cosmetic differences, makes me wonder if the innards would be compatible among the different builds.

14", 3 holes up the cover by the foot rest, similar foot rest, same array of buttons/lights/whatever along the top under the handle, screws holding side cover not visible - but with visible screw pockets holding the sides together near the edge of the fender:

No visible screw pockets holding the sides together, same array of buttons/lights under handle, three holes in the cover over footrest - but 16" and visible screws holding the side covers on:

14", but even more screw pockets along the edge:

From a different vendor- screw pockets on the other side, but black footrest

Another 14", from Banggood:

Not sure any of this helps, other than they appear to be a similar commodity with small production differences. I wonder, since many seem to be "self balancing", if proper orientation is needed for the thing to operate correctly?

Most of them won't even work if you are not standing on it. So many thing could be wrong, it is difficult to trouble shoot until you can identify all the components.

thanks for the reply

i think its a tg-m3.....350watt, max speed 18kphish. or some china knockoff variant.
