Maybe do a electric motor to a positrac rear axle like this ...

Thanks for the video of your enclosed delta trike. Your trike looks like a very practical vehicle. I am currently designing an enclosure for my delta E-trike. I added lean wheels in the front to limit the lean angle to 10 degrees. I have a roll bar and side impact bars.

Not my trike in video ... Lightfootcycles

For a leaning trike concept , I like this one ... especially the front end flairing design

That mercedes motorcycle-quasicar is pretty cool. Although the cyclop headlight front end isn't much of my taste. I like snowmobile style front with pointy nose and dual headlight. Something like the Can-Am Spyder. At the same time the rear seems awfully large than need to be. I'm guessing they're trying to add cargo space but that add such a huge blind spot.

Are there any bicycle maker out there with the same style chasis. I like the Delta configuration of most recumbent tadpole bike but not the recline seating style. I prefer upright seating.

I also like a more upright tadpole some examples might be ....

or add a little more ...

That's excellent! Tell us more about it, please. What's it made of? Where do I buy one? Plans? Reminds me of a cross between the BMW Gina and the BugE. Perfect!

Hey jmygann! Thats my trike (different colors) under that fiberglass! I could have used a partial enclosure yesterday when we rode. 45F and rain. There are a few days in the"Sunny South" when a velo is a good idea!

A roll cage on a trike is a really good idea. I have gone over once (luckily on grass at side of the trail) but it still would have helped. Should be only 4-5 lbs max with moly-steel. Steintrikes makes a velo attachment for the Mad Max (the Thunderstorm)but it costs way more than the trike itself. About 5000 USD. It does have a roll bar embedded.

Doc, take your semi-retired Sid Gowdy trike up north for a custom mount of the fabric enclosure. only a grand.

I could use one too.

That's funny, Dick. I could use one of those things maybe 2 months of the year in winter, maybe. It's gunna be 80 degrees here by the end of the week! And as John in CR states, "They are (*^&^^R%^ ugly"! If I lived where you do I would do it in a heartbeat, but the Tricruiser is now relegated to the "backup" trike position. Interesting suggestion, but not for down here in "hotland"!

The guy in the Coroplast homebuilt was gunna manufacture a pattern kit but unfortunately nothing came of it as far as I know. Really inventive use of materials and great design!

Oops. They both look like Coroplast. I meant the yellow one!

I'm in love! THE BEST velomobile I've ever seen! :D

Thanks jmygann for the link to the Aminda Vollta electric trike. I sent an e-mail to the Aminda Foundation to find out more about the design kit for high school student design teams. I belong to the non profit Electric Automobile Association and our local chapter TEVA promotes electric vehicle projects with high schools and colleges.
I am interested to find out if they use heat to form the polycarbonate panels.

Me too...

I think we are going to have to build it ourselves .... 10.5in butt clearance is all I need ... stable in 25mph corners

How wide ? wheelbase ? Or just buy a tadpole off ebay and start modifying .

1000 watt assist into SRAM DD ....... 25 mph

Does anyone build frames other than Atomic ? .......for a city street hybrid tadpole trike ??

OR ... have josh or anyone build a completely new light weight "roll cage" tadpole frame... designed from the ground up as a elec. assst. tadpole.

for a street vehicle extend and widen the tadpole

then put this body on ...

Approx. width 47.5 " , wheelbase 68.5"

similar to this but with roll bar/cage

I'm about the same.Wow you've dug up some amazing stuff. Thank you :D . I'm lookin' at Steintrikes or that Trike-X I saw. Then use coroplast and zip ties to build a mock up. then build a cage around that, maybe. Then I saw that vid. of the extended trike on myspace...

If the trike was 47 in wide (front wheels) can a length be determined so that it is stable ? ..... 12" seat height
