EnerDel in Indiana to make Lithium EV batts

Article from May 2009, EnerDel has contracts to supply the Fiskar, and City "Think", and is hoping to supply batteries to other EV/hybrid vehicles. Ever since Texaco/Chevron was able to buy a controlling interest in Cobasys, the large-format NiMH cells used in the Toyota RAV-EV and the Prius have been unavailable to small developers.

Though some of the large NiMH cells can be bought on EBAY after they have been broken down into separate pieces from a Prius wreck salvage.

Those Prius cells are only 10AH, the maximum Chevron allows (for useless EV range). Not worth your effort for EV applications.
