Eternal outskirts of Moscow and beyond (LOTS of pics!)

Another trip with my daughter.

Someone's drunken pet bear spilled some waste from nuclear samovar. Just another day in Russia! 8)

A rare sight in modern Moscow: some local boys on petrol mopeds passing by couple of decent looking ZiL-130's:

That's all for this week!

Amazing photos! Just goes to show that wasteland looks the same the world over...

Nice trips and photo's :thumb:
Great to be able to see the outskirts of Moscow on an ebike from far away 8)

Thank you! :D

I love them Russian mega trucks chewing through the 8' mud bogs like it was nothing.

As for offroading, those ZiL-130's will able to ride crop fields (when it's not raining) and do some non extreme military work, but that's pretty much it. But look up ZiL-49061 "Blue bird" - that is something!

your bike reminds me of a grasshopper, you still riding it in the winter?

Yes, i do! I'll eventually post recent winter photos in this topic.

the short wave radio for uk and Switzerland, is that in English or do you understand multiple languages?

Yep, all international exchange on SW amateur radio is in English. Not sure about it's de-jure status, but de-facto it's English!

Ah, those wastelands from childhood, where all local kids played :) Large part of life in big city, i'm not joking.

Couple of rides to Mazurinskoe lake, which suffered consequences of poisoning with waste of water treatment coagulation. It's a just another forest park now, but system of settling basins and some technical infrastructure still there. Pipes is old, abandoned and rusty, forest grows in most of old basins, but lake itself is not healed yet.

One of basins became swamp. I've been greeted by helicopter above forest, when i've taken this picture:
