Hi,

My Bafang BBSHD finally gave up the ghost, so I figured I'd buy a new controller and see if that fixes it.

I just test-fitted the new controller (after cleaning away all the sealing gunk they use at the factory), and upon powering up, I get error code 10h, and no drive :(.

I looked this up and apparently it indicates that the controller is overheating. Hmmm.

What should I do next?

Thanks :)

I'll answer my own question.

I have now found out that there are two versions of the Bafang BBSHD motor, and they are fitted with different temperature sensors. The new controller I've purchased is incompatible with the motor/temperature sensor I have, and hence the 10h temperature warning (even though everything is cold). Fortunately, the shop I've contacted will exchange controllers, albeit for a fee (since I did not purchase the new controller from them in the first place).

I'll post the result here.
