That said, the mac motor never did run fully true. Does make it a bit hard to adjust calipers without a bit of slight rubbing....but not heat rubbing.
You're probably right, but those brake adapters are often cheap and easy to file. On one of the kits that I have it states that those tabbed washers go on the inside with the tab facing out. I think if you did that you might not have had to do much filing at all.
