Fitting MAC geared 500W rear motor and Disk Brakes

Nah, I don't think so.
Try braking from 40kph with only your rear brake, then jump off and touch the disc and tell me it's not hot.

Haha, yep, I think that's about right, except i was doing more like 50-55km/hr without front brake. Funny what a difference adding a front brake makes though.
That said, the mac motor never did run fully true. Does make it a bit hard to adjust calipers without a bit of slight rubbing....but not heat rubbing.

I know that you solved this problem but I since I am considering a MAC for my next build I have been reading the MAC threads. On one of the kits that I have it states that those tabbed washers go on the inside with the tab facing out. I think if you did that you might not have had to do much filing at all.

You're probably right, but those brake adapters are often cheap and easy to file. Plus not bending the frame for a washers can only be good.

Another option is to get some small washers like maramusa did.I'm not sure I'd use that as a permanent solution, but it might be fine.

All fine so far after a few hundred km's.

I'm running 180mm discs in the back with the BB7 capilers modded and it fits

I've been thinking of trying this out.

Is the mounting bracket pattern the same for 6" and 8" rotor/caliper setups?
