Two firefighting aircraft scrambled from Hemet Ryan Field towards Lake Perris but immediately called back to base. False alarm?

Four fixed-wing aircraft and three helicopters working an area near Corona this afternoon. Some from Orange County assisted also. Just added an MD80 jet tanker so it must be serious.

Two OV10 Broncos and two S2 Trackers zoomed over towards Ryan Field from the southeast.
Lots of smoke over Bautista Canyon.
One by one the air tankers refilled and are heading back to the fire which seems to be N of SR74 and east of the mountains between Lake Hemet and Seven Level Hill.

Named the Rosa fire. They are attacking with fixed-wing aircraft at the moment.

Two C130s, at least five other fixed-wing aircraft, including an OV 10 circling and calling the shots. The smaller plane does arial mapping statistics. So far not a helicopter in the bunch.
 
C130 and 146-100 Statesman jet tanker flying over from Lancaster putting loads of phos-check around the Rosa fire along with water-dropping S2 Trackers from Ryan Field making for a noisy morning on their route to the incident today.

So far the smoke is staying to the east of us and helicopters aren’t being deployed today. There’s been a news ‘copter in the area though.
