The rest of the state is in good shape showing green incidents only, but the Santa Ana wind season has begun with no rain in sight. So far here it’s warm but not too windy, beautiful fall weather but extremely dry.
The Scissors Fire erupted between here and San Diego. I checked after hearing the familiar sound of fixed wing tankers heading towards the customary arson hotspots near Julian.
Probably a drill but two USFS fire aircraft in the air this morning. One flying over here so I checked and found out about the other one which was circling near Diamond Valley Lake as making a water drop. So far nothing on the news or from Cal Fire’s website.

CalFire aircraft were sent out to an area notorious for brush fires this afternoon.

Not mentioned on the CalFire website or map so maybe a readiness drill in the Cahuilla Mountain vicinity before boredom sets in and the always on call firefighters enjoy their Thanksgiving dinners.
