Forest Fires 🔥

Grumman S2 Tracker tankers being flanked by a RCSO helicopter near the San Jacinto “S” on the mountain between Portrero Reserve and Soboba Reservation too far away from the house to see what’s going on but several trips from Ryan Field would suggest an un-reported incident up there or more likely in a homeless camp along the San Jacinto River.

The sky is being dominated by several skydiving aircraft this afternoon over the valley and to the west.

Around this time of year, i think about finally moving to Miami.
Yeah it's not a crap shoot is it, we can choose where we live. Never buy in a flood zone, in fire prone region, on an earthquake fault, right on the beach, or near an active (or dormant) volcano. For years here lots of people were moving out among the Gum Trees and tweeting pix of Koalas taken from their balconies. Virtue signalling about how in tune with nature they were. Then the bush fires came through and it was all tears and sobbing. The farmers never lost their homes, they know better, they clear back for hundreds of meters. Nor do they build down by the creek banks, but up on a rise. All the knowledge is out there for those that want to look.

Uh oh, the green grasses must already be drying out.
