Fork reinforcement ?

I think my crown would probably snap before my dropouts do. Here's my high dollar vice-glue set up that I've been using. Around 3000 miles on this. One on each side of the fork.

Here's what I ended up with after a bit of filing. It was alot of work but the peace of mind is worth it. Plus if I decide to get a more powerful motor or one with regen. brake I should be covered. The Surly Nice rack is great all chrome moly steel with enough quality mounting hardware to mount it twice.l_0038512137e94a8f8a37fe35b3bfea4a.jpgHere's what it looks like on...l_d9033b52a985406cb6d1881f6294cc6e.jpgAnd finally a pic. of the whole bike...

This is how I think it should look like, now when anyway most people want torque....

Hi Scorefield - That wrench will keep the nut from unthreading, which is helpful, but it is not truly a torque arm. The fork destroying torque is on the axle (threaded rod with flats on either side) and that's what needs to be held secure. Probably the "V" shaped piece with the single clamp (under the nut) is acting as a torque arm, but it's hard to see with the nut and wrench in the way. See Crash Machine's post below yours (10/8 6:22pm) - jd

edit - Doc's original post http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13277&p=197863&hilit=wrench#p197863 does show the "V" shaped piece is the true torque arm and the wrench acting as a locknut. It just wasn't too clear to me in your post. Here is a pic of the custom made torque arm from the same post - jd
