Does anyone have a gates CDX belt they don't need? I need one to get measurements from. I'll take any length. Belt could also be damaged or cut.

Maybe you bought the wrong size? Maybe you accidentally cut it with a razorblade opening the box. Maybe I can give you a few dollars and save it from the trash.

I am trying to reverse engineer and machine some gates CDX carbondrive pulleys for myself. I want a belt to 3d scan and to use for testing my machined tooth profiles. Gates is super secretive about these dimensions and apparently the clearance changes depending on tooth count so I cant use a generic sprocket generator in CAD.

Also, if anyone has formulas or CAD designs for this CDX belt type they want to share that would be great too.

Thanks.

EDIT: I just realized the below is all probably the wrong type of belt, but I'll leave it here as a tiny bit of gates belt info for anyone coming along that might need these versions.

I doubt this has the info you need, but I found this file in one of the gates threads here on ES...just in case it's useful

There is also this one

Thanks for those last links. That is exactly the kind of info I was looking for.

All the design manuals are about belt selection based on use case. The tooth profile stuff is the real secret recipe they keep under wraps.

The belt sprockets on the cheap thread gave me some really good ideas to try regarding mud sheading designs for the normal non-bike polychain stuff as well.

Im still on the hunt for sample belts to measure but those links give me a lot to ponder.
