Hey everyone. With a few people showing off some sweet videos on the forum, I thought it would be nice to share the various methods people are using to mount their cameras to get the best shot.

To get the ball rolling, here is one I made. I was trying to get a view of the friction drive I have made, so wanted something mounted at the rear of the bike looking forward from the side.
I ended up using:
- a short section of aluminium tube (from a deceased whipper snipper) as the main boom the camera mounts to
- a couple of DMR hinged clamps I happened to have laying around, that clamp the boom in two places. One on the seat post, the other on the top tube. This stops the boom from swing left to right
- a piece of flat alumium bar, as a stabilising leg down to the rear hub skewer, to stop the boom bouncing up and down

And here is a short video from the camera, that shows you the perspective from an r2 setting on the camera.
First on a road bike.

Now on a full suspension bike.

And finally here are some more photos in case you want more detail.

Good idea.

Here's a few shots of some more of my mounts.
In the above thumbnail for the video where I rip my helmet off you can see the arm rest bar thing (what ever they're called) that I've adapted with a plate on the end as a rider-facing camera mount. It's the perfect length to capture the bars, and all the rider

And this is a swivel mount I made - it's a circular aluminium plate with the gopro mount on it bolted to another Al plate with a arc shaped grove allowing it to rotate about 270 degrees. So with the gopro inserted either forward or backwards facing it can be rotated to face any direction
I have it strapped to my wrist in this shot and feels kinda Iron Man pointing your arm out to aim where you want it but it gives good shots. Both the above inset shots are from the same wrist mount with the camera swivelled to face straight forward and then backwards at ~45 degrees with my arm out bent (swimming in this shot but could be positioned for more bike specific shots)

I've made a heap of others but I dont think I have any shots of those
