Grasshopper Golf Ball

This is my grasshopper golf ball. You might have seen the Jumping Robot on Veritasium. I have to maybe cut a slice into the golf ball so that the string can wrap around a pulley that is recessed into the ball. That way, when it jumps, it can spin the golf ball, imparting rotational velocity to the golf ball. The golf ball becomes an airfoil and will travel in the direction of lift. I guess, I would have to cut the golf ball in half and glue a pulley and some mounting hardware into the middle of the golf ball.

Precession is caused by both friction within the gyro and by aircraft manoeuvring inclusive of turns, acceleration and deceleration. Precession causes a slow "drift" in the gyro and results in erroneous readings. Crosschecking the heading indicator or directional gyro with the magnetic compass and making the appropriate corrections should be accomplished on a regular basis.
