Gruber Assist: 100W in the seat tube

Thanks for the info. I don't have any hill where I live. On flat, it takes less than 50 watts to travel at 16kph (10mph). So if I were to contribute 50W, my hub motor consumption would 0.0 wh/km.

Do not forget the wind :)
if I go by the lake with very mild inclines - it takes me almost no efforts to keep 30km/h (my max gearing) even on my off-road tires...

By the way, I am prepared to sell the Gruber kit + battery in the bag separately!

Would that include the modified Holotech BB spindle ?

That would include:
- motor with reduction gear and freewheel;
- seat post with the controller inside;
- 20ah 30V 8S LiPo (only 10 cycles);
- battery bag
- large-screen CA;
- control "magic button"
- the sprocket that is mounted on the BB spindle. The Hollowtech BB you can order on any of the MTB shops.

Price: CHF1,500

You need to get your hands on the Hungarian version of the Gruber for the ultimate stealth. This is the one that Cassini claims Cancellara used. It's supposed to be very hard to hear.

There is no Hungarian version of Gruber. Do you really think Hungarians can manufacture anything precise like Gruber? :)

lol hungarian are really fit and damn good and reliable manufacturers. A lot of well known German companies have their "dirty works" (stators, stator windings, and molds) made in Hungarian ;)
Gruß,
H.

Is there not some third world dictator needing a bank account... :mrgreen:

You are correct I should have phrased it better. The superior Hungarian version of the Gruber. :wink:

So anybody interested in the purchase? Since the Swiss franc is very strong now, I can make it $1,500. And the shipping cost will be reasonable.

A thought occurred to me while thinking about Cancellara. Would it be possible to place a motor like the Gruber Assist in a vacuum-sealed compartment?
