GT i-drive 2.0 Build

Quality looked fine to me Greg, another nice fast run there and yes the only obstacle was that lumbering lady right at the end  if she just had 1/4 of the power you were using she would be laughing!!

just a couple scenes from near great falls, md. the river's high. i had no traction there. nothing fancy. just poking around.

It's summer time here in dc, btw. hot as hell. there's been no rain for a while, so the dirt tracks must be nice. i've been tempted to toss the nobbies on just to do some trails for the day...

the plan was to ride out and do some lycra hunting  while my wife drove the family. we'd meet, go for hike, then drive home together, but the morning conspired against me, so i did the reverse: drove w/ family, then biked back. too hot then in afternoon for most lyrcas and the ones i caught were slugs...

i'm thinking the pelaton on hains point will be where i have to go...

and it seems silly watching activists intentionally get arrested in front of a bunch of gleeful camera operators... but i notice they're bike cops: Silent Dancing Protesters (Idiots) Arrested at Jefferson Memorial

Hey Greg 8)

Super cool video there buddy, nice mix of shots and some sweet jumps, you got about 3 feet of air :p he he, nice really nice :D

very cool low perspective,i liked that alot.makes me scratch my head thinkin where the camera was :? . good jump slow mo.

Cool vid, great combination of on and off road, especially when the traffic gets slow and you zip around them off road. I often do that and I know it's alot bumpier at speed than it looks in your clip! Looks like you took those gutters pretter hard and fast too. It looks like nothing in the clip but again, it can be tough when you're doing it.

I like the last jump... right into the 2 girls in short shorts

Yikes close call indeed. That other poor guy got mashed
Kinda his own fault though trying to squeeze though that gap that was already closing before he passed the stopped car.

And yes the audioswap is HIGHLY distracting

@Greg, Hi there, Do you have any problem with the BMS battery charger and hows the balancing since you bought new charger.

I just wanted know what is your status and I might buy one for myself easier for me tap any store's 110v plug anywhere. I mean lot easier carry just a charger in topeak bag in case if i need it.

Rider gets up swearing, says he's ok, then asks the other rider to cut the ignition
The driver asks if he's alright
Rider asks him WTF he was doing
Then both the driver and the guy in safety gear go on about red light and waving..

It's a bulk charger. No balancing, but if I use only 2/3 of my pack, I shouldn't need to balance charge more than 1x per month, but I've been balance charging 1x per week.

My only problem is the spark on connection. It sparks like crazy all the time, AC plug in, AC plug out, Switch On, Switch Off, Black first, Red first...

I've been meaning to ask other BMSBattery charger owners if they have the same problem. Should I use a 'precharge' resistor?

I would definitely add a precharge resistor (or a big PTC if you can find one big enough). Does the power chord spark when you plug it into the wall?

I just got one of these myself, 1200W 20S. I'm surprised at how little you have to balance charge. that's awesome.

Indeed it does, officer.

Officer?... 8) Anyway, you'd have to hack the power supply apart to deal with that. I'll fiddle with mine and see how bad it is to get an idea.

Most likely the best solution is an NTC, which is a thermally controller resistor which starts out high resistance, but goes low one it warms up. Alot of big power supplies use these on the mains caps.

Does it spark even if you have the power off when you plug it in (probably does...)
