GT i-drive 2.0 Build

Another good vid, that mount is surprisingly stable!

hello hellooo hello hellooo hello
Is that a polite way of saying GTFO of my way ? :p
Were they technically in the wrong there or you ?

Watching your vids is now like seeing couples out having fun after you've just broken up with your girlfriend

What is your rear tire pressure?
Felt hard as a rock, but was only 30PSI. I pumped it up to 60 this AM.

How's the trail been? Any more cyclists with sand in their vaginas?

I got yelled at again by the same old lycra the other morning :(

Made it through the week pretty dry and without frying any equipment

With the better weather I have been taking Mass on the way home. Pretty time of year with the foliage in your neighborhood :D

Yep. Pedestrians are savages. Just cause there are no cars coming doesn't mean they don't have to follow traffic signals! Jeez... But yeah, they were crossing at a red light. I got to the intersection when it was still green, turned red when i was in the middle. I hate to do that, but I didn't want to wait at that long light either...

Did you notice that bonehead cyclist who kept passing in front of me at the light? (don't remember how many times i showed it..) I was about to jump the light there when he crossed in front. Dorkus. Some car driver yelled at him for circling, just cause he didn't want to put his foot down and wait... I couldn't care less, but no cock-blocking, please.

For me, I feel like I've lost a relative...

GC,

You need to come up with something like this! Kind of makes we queasy, but very cool.

He's got it placed so perfectly that you can't see the mount on top of his helmet!

Ambrose

Wow, Ambrose, that is quite a mount  When the rider flicked it once I am guessing it must be about 6 inches from the pivot :?: How does it not get blown back by the apparent wind :?:

It seems like it is a bit farther out than 6". I would guess more like a foot or so by his reach to hit it. VERY cool idea! Almost gives the effect of a flying camera! I will have to try and rg something up like that for my camera when I start making vids! I guess I have to get the bike going reliably first though! LOL! Dam chains!

I noticed that guy, I thought you'd edited a loop because he was riding past checking you out.
A nudge of his back wheel as he was in creeping perpendicular to you would have probably sorted him out

I was listening to what the gopro guy was saying right up until that girl in the bikini swam past

Thats a sweet swivel mount, it must be counter balanced to keep it stable. And yeah, it'd have to be alot more than 6". I can see from how much of him and the handlebars he has in the shot that it's pretty much exactly the same length as the set up I have on my handlebars for the rear facing shots - which is about a foot in front of the handlebars, plus the distance from your head to the handlebars to start with - so about 2 feet.

I imagine it looks something like this

You'd need 2 blades with the camera at one tip and a counter balance at the other and ideally 4 for good balance.
Something to play around with when I get time!

Ditto. I was hoping you were gonna give us some good underwater footage too at some point...

What? Greg broke up girlfriend? I am puzzled and it seems Greg is married guy. Isn't he?

That loop with the girl is distracting :D Some of the background footage (volcanic?) looked real familiar.

Only $620 for 2 cameras and the 3D kit! Gonna have to start saving

Ohhh I get it now. hehe

Loved the last video as well Greg, very nice indeed!! its for sure the best mounting position and makes your rides look even scarier to be honest, in the last film it looked like you must have been clipping the cars with the end of you bars

Mr go pro seemed like a nice guy, I was also put off by the gorgeous lady in the background, in fact there are a slew of hot babes on their official website videos, I dont know about you but there is something really sexy about a girl that can surf

I so want a go pro but dont think I can really justify one as my normal camera makes a half decent video and I havent really got anything thats any better than whats already being posted.

I think someone needs to take the rains and get a post started to get Hyena a new cam...any takers? I for sure would like to donate towards one for him as long as he treats the new one with a little more respect   sure there is enough users on here in order to make that a reality?

I don't think we want to give Hyena a camera with a condition of treating it well. I think you want him to take the risks that provide the exciting video

You need a better rear shock, that thing bounces pretty hard lol..
Hey Y. Yeah, it's probably pretty low. I tried to pump it up beforehand but the pump wasn't working. The marzocchi's are feeling pretty soft too. I know nothing about shocks. I was thinking about starting a thread on them, since a lot of folks are using DH bikes/shocks... I better look around first tho to see what there is..

Posting it again at the top of this page:

Hey Greg

Much better on the jumps there!! I used to jump 8 or 9 flights on my normal bike all the time back in the day, its fun! however Its a lot of impact for the hub motor to take, very brave! well at least you will know its most likely the hall sensors come loose if you have any juddering now! much more impressive Greg! and the bread looked nice too!!

Keep the videos coming! if we can get Hyena up to 300 bucks I would bet he would fly down a few also, I am so tempted to get myself a gopro just need to think of a few videos I can make, pretty sure there are a a few! so nice the weather today was amazing, I did over 60 miles this weekend on the e-bike its so nice knowing spring and summer is coming, I am in ebike heaven at the moment, all my rides are going so well and my batteries are nearly a year old and still rocking! got to love Hobbyking and Turnigy

Thanks for posting Greg

Nice, "You ever take it off any sweet jumps?"
Is that some wobble in your back wheel you're showing us there ?
No shots with the gopro facing the sky ?? That would have been the perfect set up for it, gopro on it's back with you getting plenty of air over the top.

I might actually leave those ones to Greg, I'm not that keen on riding down stairs. I bash mine around a bit but I reckon that's asking for trouble with a heavy hub motor. I'm about to relace my motor from the stock rim to a better one- maybe I should do one quick flight before I do...
Like you say knoxie, it's hard on the halls though.

that's freakin ballsy man, I want a freeride bike now...

It's great to be able to jump your commuter/ kid hauler down a flight of stairs.... 8)
