I scored a little black version of the chinese standard scooter, for just $10. I already had a replacement battery pack for it and everything  It's missing a light or two and is a little funky but hey I got it and made it run for 10 and a little soldering.

My bro is going to get a toy for his birthday!

There's lot of those scooters on CL here in Austin, which I'm sure no one is really buying. I already have way too many projects going on, and no need for such a toy with such a negative cool factor lol. Cheap way to get part though. Well, actually, I did think about building 'rain transportation' out of one of those scooters, since it's already largerly protected itself and rider from road spray. I'd just wear a rainsuit and such. Not a bad Idea compared to riding my good ebikes in the rain.

Nice!! I'm thinking one of these scooters might be good for my nephew in place of the electric pocket bike he has now, it's an accident waiting to happen, riding with your knees touching your elbows!

Funny, my neighbor just happened to have a couple of those scooters from goodwill. They stripped the lights and such off, so I got a free new blinker/headlight/horn combo switch. 8)

I have the red version of that. Well, what's left of it. What parts do you need? I can send you all the little lights on the rear/sides, I think mine are intact or close to it.

Oh don't worry about parts for me AF, thanks though! I already gave it to him as-is. Part of me really wanted to spend the time finding a 900W motor/controller to put in it, but I don't have any money or time for that lol. Moving that fast on a scooter that small would be scary! Anyways the blinkers and horn and all the lights work except for the rear side blinky lights. One is smashed and the other isn't working. I figure he's just going to joyride on it anyways and I'm not going to worry about it for $10...

Ok. :) If he wrecks it or just gets bored with it, I can point out all the nifty bits you can use off of it for different things. About the only thing I really don't have a use for so far is the housing/fairing itself, as it just doesnt' fit anything else. If no one ever wants that part, I may just recycle the plastic into other things bit by bit.

I had thought about cutting and extending the other chasis I have from one of these. I picked up a non-functioning one for under $10 and have been planning to use that to build my cheapo electric trike project that i posted eons ago... but I also thought I could easily make a little push-trailer out of one of these. I would have to get a higher voltage controller to keep up with bicycle speeds but hey...it would work.

It should. I have a recently-donated Razor motor-bike shaped scooter that's even smaller than the SnG, and it may well get adapted into a front pusher wheel for my kennel trailer. ;)
