Halo wheels

A set of Halo T2 wheels from Triton Cycles UK, what the heck are these cuts in the rims? I guess they are weld seams? One of them is pretty deep. Will this be okay?

Looks normal.
All aluminum rims are made by taking a straight profiled extrusion and bending it into a circle. The "cuts" are the place where the circle is joined. The joint is usually strengthened with an insert and some times welded.
In most cases the valve hole is located opposite to the joint of the rim.
