The tool to estimate winding's and/or wire diameters for a specific stator can be downloaded here http://www.drivecalc.de/
There is a english version available, but I guess it's all metric
It's made for RC-pilots, so most of the stuff is related to prop-sizes. But the stator/wire tool is quite nice.
Don't worry, if the estimated number of winding doesn't fit at first, it's all a matter of practice and patience :wink:
