I recently bought one of this controller from golden motor. The first attempt almost killed my battery because the priority was shorted. Luckily, the guy promise me to replace the new one and he did.
However, it still shorted. I connect the RED+ wire and -Black from this controller to a LED through 6V battery as shown as following image. Guess what? the LED light up!! Is this normal and just stupid me test this incorrectly?

not sure what the image is supposed to prove. what is a "priority"?

you should verify which wires are the positive and which are the negative mains since we have noticed that golden motor does reverse the colors for the mains on that controller.

A LED will light at a very small current. The one in the picture can probably make visible light from just some µA.

You could use a light bulb to limit the current if you suspect there is an error. Ask the seller for instructions on how to connect it.
