Help buying

Hello everyone
Im new here and need your help.

I'm another guy that is going to pull the trigger on a stealth bomber clone on Alibaba, complete bike. I know buying the parts is cheaper but the delivery fees ruins it. Also i know surrons etc etc etc, but i need it to have pedals

Im going to the 5000w version with the qs205, dont need more than 75km/h also less weight on the bike since iv saw some folks saying the qs273 adds to much weight and since im only commuting, what you guys think?

Other question, wheel size?better 19 or 21? I want to switch for a good street tire but i dont know about rim sizes and tires avaiability?

Controllers usually are sabvotons, maybe if i can get a fardriver one from the seller would be better?opinions?

Any suggestions on extras that might be interesting? Or any suggestions at all?

Hello, I think you should build a DIY full suspension ebike with a rear hub motor and a 48v lithium battery or larger, and an extra controller for a battery upgrade.

True, but the delivery fees, vat and other taxes ruins the thing. It comes cheaper buy the full package. Unfortanly

Check you can document and insure the bike your looking at before pulling the trigger, In the uk which is currently still under the same eu regs, such bikes are frequently seized off the road and only returned when valid classification and insurance docs are provided. Police attitudes may be different atm? but that can change with a viral social media post and if expensive enough to warrant the homework and hassle of importing, its probably too expensive to loose at the whim of a police officer.

Like escooters, they are in a grey zone of the law, im not the only one and if people drive safely police dont care about it

Yeah, same in the UK but rather than test the new regs in court to set a precedent bikes beyond the pedelec/speed-pedelec classifications (Motor ratting or battery capacity) are therfore motorbikes and are delt with as any undocumented motorbike. And riders face the same penalties as if riding an undocumented m/cycle...

The extra few hundred euros? documenting and insuring a safe bike seems like a no brainer considering the grief even minor involvement in a rta could bring financially. ( if younger than an old git like me insurance may cost more than 100 euro a year?? if so put it mum or dads name.. )
The classification/safety check should cost about the same as any annual vehicle test, tho finding a local test centre could be an issue. ( based on uk situation)

Legal grey zones rarely result in wins for the lil guys.. just the big boys like huge US scooter hire firms..

I agree with you and i know what you are saying, but even then ill go that route because im confortable with.

A DD rear hub wheel kit is $250 in America, and then you will need a battery, but you can always use lead acid if lithium not available, and will learn the art of the build.

Im not from america, i live in europe and even buying in parts in europe becomes more expensiver than alibaba
