Help choosing power of the hub

Conhismotor is much better in quality compare Cammy kits, in few things, the rpm used to be 480rpm, but their new version is 420rpm to gain more troque. i have order my kit and it takes only 4days to ship here. im very happy with their packing and quality and price. it is almost half price compare to cyclone kit 1200watts. Guess how much ? USD255 with shipping Cost Ems to my home. very fast if i am not wrong, they might be the best deal in the ebay. i have friends own own cammy kit, they were lots of disappointment, (one of my friend, drop out is said to be 6inch wide)... i don't know how to say. i will take photos if you want. the hub motor size is pretty big, 10inch wide. i haven't test it out, but soon. Go for it, conhismotor, very nice motor. soon, i will have 3 ebikes. Conhismotor 1000watts is my latest one. they gave me a double alloy rim compare, cammy is normal rim.

good reason to buy them, their controller can be very cheap so easy to replace them, if is blow. no frightening cost to replace them. in here i can get it SGD50.
im extremely happy with the price and everthing. now i haven't found my new bicycle yet, but soon.

cheers

kentlim26,

I'd be interested in how fast that goes (ie level surface, minimal wind conditions) once you get it hooked up.
I am keen to get one but gotta save the $$$ first.....

Top speed i got from a new version motor. 48v 1000watts kit , Conhismotor is 51.1km/h (using a sla batteries of 12v 12amper) it can do better if is a lifepo4 battery, but i don't mind. the speed is already choice+ troque is very good. Under 3 or 4 count i can get 35km/h and above, that is not bad too. it is slight slower troque compare with cyclone kit 1200watts kit. the kit is consider a best deal for term is worth for value. For a price for USD 250, include Ems shipping+ everything is Very hard for me not to buy it and test them. The troque is good, it can climb slop from a dead stop and 300meters slop, i can do more then 40km/h all the way,,, just like cyclone kit did that. Best of all, i stop and went to touch the hub motor to see the temperture,,, what is it. Barely JUST little warm or no warm (totally can't tell) Wow .. im extremely happy with the no warm feeling. compare to my friend hub motor, that is too hot to touch.

the reason how come no warm feeling from the "conhismotor"?" simply they have change the wiring coil. previously is like the x5303 , Now is x5305 . Less speed but more troque.

it is indeed a very powerful beautiful motor, and there are lots of fun.
cheers,

Thank you all for discussions in this thread.

At last I made up my mind and ordered 9C 1000W hub; still hesitating between batteries but tending towards 15ah ping battery as Mr. dogman suggested some time ago.
The reason why I chose 9C is that it has Cycle Analyst with pre-attached/pre-configured CA plug-in. So I hope I will always know how much juice left in a battery and will be able plan my back trip. 9C Controller is little bit smaller than Conhismotor and is in black color (not silver). Also I found that 9C hub is little bit quieter than Golden Motor (less squeaking). And also I have to say that 9C is ~40% more expensive then GD and Conhismotor but it has Cycle Analyst included in kit. Overall I found just positive records about 9C.
I don’t feel 100% sure ordering ping 48V 15AH V2.5 LiFePO4 Battery Pack because it’s Rated Discharging Amperage is just 15 Amps. I think “1000w hub motor/25amps controller” may need more than 15amps continues current when pushing it little bit harder. Though other parameters looks sound:
Max Continuous Discharging Amperage: 30 Amps
Maximum Discharging Current: 60 Amps
Discharging Cut-off Protection: 40-50 Amp

Also I don’t like idea to carry battery on my rear rack. I think it would put unwanted instability; And at least for me, it is not stealthy at all; I would rather keep ping battery in my bike’s frame which again, may leave not enough space for my rolling legs, unless I would manage to fit battery in bike frame under seat pole. Battery is just 4.1 inch width so it shouldn’t disturb me.
Battery. Size: 300x105x150 mm / 11.8x4.1x5.9 inches.

Everyone here is forgetting that a cyclone mid motor setup would be great for mountain biking type applications if mounted properly and you would get all those gearing options for hills and such. It's not a non-mechanically inclined build, however and I am learning that the hard way as I am only semi-clutsy at this point. But, I have had my cyclone in our mountain trails and it crawls anywhere you want it too. 8)
