Hi guys,

First, I am new to the forum, (today), & I have been looking through and doing some searches & I'm very happy to have found this site. So much good stuff.
I hope I am posting in the correct section, but please correct me if this doesn't belong here.

After searching the forum & online I am still unable to find the information I am looking for on my new ebike motor. I bought 2 ebikes for myself & my wife, which I ordered online directly from a manufacturer in China. According to them, they are both the same ebikes except she has a step-through style frame & mine is a standard men's frame.
Here are some specs:

26" fat tire, 48v 750w "bafang" motor, 19Ah battery.
My question is about the motors, which are supposed to be 750w bafang rear hub motors. Everything is working fine, but the motors do not say bafang on them & the only markings are: "26-1801H 0010-3". Both motors have these numbers printed on them, the only difference is the end of 1 bike is 0010-3 and the 2nd bike is 0032-3. My guess is that these ending numbers are some kind of serial number & since both numbers start with "26" I am guessing that it refers to the wheel size. I do not know what the 1801H is referring to though, & I am hoping that someone can recognize what these numbers mean & if, in fact, these are actual 750w bafang motors or something else.

I am attaching pictures of the motors for you to see. Nowhere on them do they say "bafang" & from my searching here & online I haven't come across a bafang hub motor that doesn't have their name printed on it.
Thanks for reading this post & please let me know if you have any info for me.

Mick

If you pursue trying to find logic in Chinese motor nomenclature, you will become a nervous wreck.
Yes, the "26" does refer to the whl. size, which does give a clue to the motor speed range(Low-speed (201 rpm rated @ 36 Volts) to a "260" motor.
The other numbers , who knows?
But the shape of the spoke flange tells us it's certainly a Bafang BPM style motor.
It's hard to tell w/ that pic angle, but it is wider. As to diameter, it may be less than a BPM, w/ a wider stator. But it's rated the same as a BPM and you can get more detail on the net if you search, a Lot of it graphs in Chinese(If you can decipher it, please post here).
There are so many clones, it's impossible to say for sure who manufactured it, but they seem to be usually as good as the "name" brand, but it's probably made by Bafang.
All this doesn't really matter, as you can't really change much. Hopefully, the the builder well matched the the motor speed to the rest of the bike and you don't try and run too much power to it. A "rule of thumb" on these things is about double the rating is about it. The BPMs commonly use a 25 to 35 Amp controller.
