I just found a great textbook about electric vehicle technology. It's the first edition, the 2nd just came out and is probably even better. It's called Electric Vehicle Technology Explained.

I have taken an introductory MATLAB course and wanted to use matlab to model my vehicle design for a while. I tried to do it on my own and couldn't do it. Now that I have this great text book with examples of code for the EV1 and an electric scooter, i think it is possible. The only problem is that I am going to be graduating in a week, and i wanted to include this in my report. I'm not looking for someone to do this for me, I just need a little help understanding how to find a few variables relating to Electrical Engineering, not my major.
I am confused by page 144. page 188 is modeling the vehicle acceleration and depends on the material on 144 to work.
I have a 4 turn astro flight 3220 motor:
How do i find Phi, the flux passing through the coil?
Km the motor constant?
