Help required on cycle analyst

Hi Guys
I'm slowly getting my ebike together. When I came to adding the CycleAnalyst (Larger display version) I though I'd better check it to determine which way up the characters are.

I applied applied power from a 48Volt LiFE pack and shunt but have not connected the the hub motor. The display side light comes on but there are no characters displayed.
I can hold the reset button in and after 1 second the side light briefly dims as if the menu is changing as per the User manual. Similarly a further 6 second hold briefly dims the
side light as per 5.2 paragraph in user manual.

To me this suggest the display card is faulty or the volts aren't getting there. Any suggestions?

Hi,

First checking your wiring, the correct wiring for CA big display with an Xlyte controller is:

Red to V+
Black to Ground
Blue to Shunt -
White to Shunt +
Yellow to Sp
Green to Th

If your CA is only fading in and out, it's a defective unit (probably) talk to Justin at www.ebike.ca he can help you, good luck

Thanks BlackArrow for your redirection.
Justin walked me through the diagnostics via emails and quickly identified a resistor that had gone open circuit (reason unknown, might have been stress cross the equator)
Trivial to fix once identified.

All fixed now. If only all problems where this easy to fix.
