Help with determining what type of lithium pak?

Hi all
I recently bought a lithium ion pack from eBay am not too sure what chemistry is would somebody please help me determine it. my concern is that it could catch on fire due unforeseen circumstances. I was told it was LiCoxNiyMnzO2. I can take pictures and measure voltages. I'm not that keen on destroying it though.

there are three main ones

Li iron oxide (the a123 batteries are of this type but uses nano technology)
Li manganese (e-moli)
Li cobalt -- this is the kind that catches fire. used for cellphones and notebooks.

you might be able to check the voltage when fully charged and under load in order to make an educated guess.

If you're really worried, make an enclosure using cement blocks and charge it outside.

I have been using the Crystalyte 36 volt 9ah battery for 2 months and 1500 miles without any safety problems. I actually have three packs wired in parallel and repackaged to fit. I've had workmanship problems with the packs but no safety problems. I use the bike and packs almost every day. If my experience is any example I say you can relax. Below is a picture of the packs as I was reconfiguring them and adding the circuit to monitor the 3 pack on how well they share current.

The A123 cells are LiFePO4, so I think he intended "Li iron oxide" to refer to the Lithium Iron Phosphate cells

Are you sure you didn't buy one of those Li-uNoBtaNeIum batteries on ebay? I hear they are hard to find but you can get a lot of mileage before they explode.

also any idea what sort of current I can dump out of these things before they catch on fire or cut out? the thing I love the most about Chinese manufacturers is the unknown factor like will this product burn down my house killing my children (don't have any children)don't worry. lol

All you battery pack builders. Stack batteries as shown in picture. Pack will be smaller. Hot melt glue is fun stuff. Good for gluing cells together. I've had a $2 glue melting gun for many years. Love it. Press on glue with thumb. Think it works better then the $3 trigger type?
