Im asking for help finding a brushed controller.
The stock one is dead after 10+ years. Stock controller is a Currie 7~26V - 40A
The motor is a Currie Tech four brush permanent magnet electric motor Model XTD-6B -24V - 28A - 2600 RPM - 450W
I started a earlier post http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=61138 but it kind of drifted away and I didn't really find an answers.
I was about to buy a C3635-NC 24-48V, 35A Controller from Grin when I realized the motor was brushed.
I talked with guy's at ElectricScooterParts.com and they had no replacement.
I've emailed Kelly in hopes that their KDS48050E,50A,24V-48V, Mini Brushed Controller http://kellycontroller.com/kds48050e50a24v-48v-mini-brushed-controller-p-282.html would work, have not herd back from them yet.
I would really like a controller with more features then the stock controller "throttle"
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I'm assuming you have much the same as my old "Test Bed," something like 12 years old and a controller that lists those same specs. Inside, however, it says "440w." I'd say closer to 24v/18a. You have a 6 wire controller?

As soon as I make a promise about an INDIVIDUAL UNIT you'll turn out to be one with the ONLY model different from every other Currie. They've been great fun for me, people sell them broken for $25 because they can't guess on how to fix it and it's not worth paying a shop $200 to fix.

You first issue is you'd have to replace the throttle if you really do have the old 6 wire. This should be as good or better a Currie controller, mostly they all plug in to one another. https://www.curriestore.com/bikes-scooters/CT-2430-002A201317188/ Here's your throttle. https://www.curriestore.com/bikes-scooters/TH-XH2DL-002A201317170/ I've yet to see a problem plugging one Currie part into another, outside those throttles. The 450w and the 900w use the same controller. But. . . .

If you want to be a little faster you can go with 36v. I guess Currie won't carry it anymore, but it's at electricscooterparts.com http://electricscooterparts.com/speedcontrollers36volt.html The one that says Currie. But Monster has it with the throttle. http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/currie-36-volt-5-pin-controller-throttle.html You'll need to go with 36v worth of batteries.

Or you can really experiment. I snagged a cheapie that I just can't get the time to tinker with. http://www.ebay.com/itm/120916722140
