Help with picking parts for my diy electric longboard

So I think I have the major parts picked out. Just want someone else to look at them before I buy it all.

I am going more for range than speed on this, as I want to use it to get to/from work (~7-8mi distance), but I also want to to go at a reasonable pace so I don't have to leave 1hr early :p

battery: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__66480__Multistar_High_Capacity_4S_10000mAh_Multi_Rotor_Lipo_Pack_AR_Warehouse_.html
will this be enough? or do i need to get a 6s?

Going to use the 70mm wheels I already have, and will make the motor mount myself

Am I missing anything? Does this look good? Any comments/suggestions???

If you haven't already, check out this speed calculator https://howtomakeanelectricskateboard.wordpress.com/the-motor/

You won't go up too many hills just by first glance but should be fine for commuting. Your right on the edge of that range with that battery so maybe carry a spare.

Ok, I did the speed calculator and got 50mph??? So i used the voltage for my battery, instead of the max voltage on the motor spec sheet, for cell B5, and then I got 13mph. Does that sound right?

Ya that sounds right. Btw those batteries are actually only good for around 3c continuos. Should be ok with your gearing but if you want to go faster you may want to choose something else.

Don't want to sound to negative but I really do not think that you will be at all happy with that build if you go ahead with it with those parts.
With such a low voltage you will have to draw a lot of current to get any power, particularly with your gear ration. This will kill your battery over time, cause the motor to run very hot and though I don't know about that controller I will not bet a dime on it lasting to long. You will probably have to give a very good kick start to get going and any incline will be impossible unless it is short and you hit it with speed.
With just a bit more investment you will get a better board, and believe me you will want that. Go 6S battery and controller (FVT120 is cheap and reliable).
As to speed in listed build, yes 13mph would be a theoretical max, in reality it will be slower.
6S 8AH should get you to work, you would then have to recharge to go home again.
Hope this helps in your choice.

Don't worry about it :p this is the kind of advice that I came here for.

Ok, so I think I am going to go with a 6s battery (and esc) instead.

Can i use this one? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=66481
Or should i go with this one? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=58824
