Just got my MAC Motor from Cellman and I am not real familiar with the ETRTO tire sizing standard. Also i have read some people having problems with tires fitting onto his rims, but maybe this problem has gone away I don't know.

here is the rim- http://www.alexrims.com/product_detail.asp?btn=3&cat=3&id=83
It is a 559mmx24mm rim. From what I have read a 1.85 inch tire will fit this nicely?

So i found this tire.
http://www.amazon.com/Michelin-Prot...3360545&sr=8-1&keywords=26"+bicycle+tire+1.85
Can someone tell me if they think this will fit before I buy it? Also does anyone have Michelin bike tires and do you like them?

Thanks!

Thats a 26" rim.
"26"-660g, ERD 543.6mm, ETRTO 559X24mm"

1.85 is a scrawny @ss tire. At ebike speeds, you'll want to size up. At Least a 2.0" or a 2.15" for that rim size.

I'm sure Michelin makes ok tires, but there's a long list of tires here that people use and love. Most of them are made by Maxxis or Schwalbe. I prefer Maxxis, but I love my Schwalbe too.

thanks for the help

yeah i was looking at the 26" x 1.85 and i knew it was on the skinny side i was going off this guide (towards the bottom there is a chart that talks about rim width vs tire width)
http://sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html

maybe i should go wider though it looks like a 2 or 2.15 would still work. any standard 26" x 2-2.15 tire will sit just fine?

Yep. The chart is a bit conservative, as the note below it says. But it's an excellent starting place. You could probably run even bigger, but too big might not fit the bike. 2.15 shouldn't be a problem at all.

They are standard 26 inch rims, so any standard 26 inch tire should fit. A few examples are:
Maxxis DTH 26 X 2.15
Schwalbe Big Apple 26 X 2.15
