Has anyone tried Hi-Power battery packs?
They claim a output of 3c on their packs.
Their cells are rectangular with two lugs on the top. I'm using a 48V 20Ah 16 cell pack on my bike and because of its size
I have to place it on its side to fit in the bike.
Will these LiFePO4 batteries work on their side or will stuf run out like lead acid batteries?

Hey Tanya,

Welcome to the forums; the most knowledgable place for ebike info, I can assure you

LifePO4 batterys should work fine on there side.

The only LFP cells I am aware of that should stay upright are the Thunder Sky one's..

Other than that.. i have some 12ah prismatic cells that have been on their sides, and the Hi-Power cells should be no different.. Could always check with the place you got them from but i'd be surprised if it was a problem.

Electric Motorsport has used HiPower LFP batteries in many of it's motorcycle conversions.
They seem to be fine as long as you stay within the 3C discharge rate.

I'm not sure about the orientation. The only time 'stuff' would come out of the vent is if it failed. Resistance to vibration might be best if they are upright.
