How is a $1600 battery too good to be true? sounds like 16lbs of batteries to me

I have the 90v battery system. It goes about 45 with my HS4060 motor. It definitely works fine.

here is another option with 3 years warranty.
I do not care who sells LifeBatt cell packs, quality product will defends itself with no support.

$1.66 per wh. Hmm.. at that price, my current 888wh battery pack would have cost $1500. As it was, it cost $275.

HPC's stuff has definitely improved. But bear in mind, they ARE in the business to sell it and make some money. My rule of thumb has been to try to use any battery you buy at half the specified amps as much as possible. Or less.
If I am looking at the same one you are, I see they say 65 amps. To me that means a 40 amps controller could work. You won't pull all 40 amps for long, and mostly you will pull 30 or less. It's clearly not 2c stuff, but perhaps best to run a 30 amps controller.
It can't be compared to lico, that's too apples and oranges. Can you imagine a 1 year warrantee on 20c Hobby King crap?

I wouldn't be terribly sure this isn't akin to hobby king stuff, and the warranty is more feel-good than anything. Unless I knew for sure it came from allcell or someone more reputable, I wouldn't touch it.
Point made by all! .. I will avoid the HPC. I definitely won't use LIPO/LICO as I have a young family and worry about the dangers of it.. (since I know nothing about this stuff!) .. I really want to stick to LIFEpo4 or this LINMC as they seem to have better safety ratings... Can anyone point me in the right direction for a reputable lifepo4 or linmc dealer where I can pick up a 72v battery that can handle relatively high amps??? Im hoping to be able to hit 60km/h and have some decent torque at low speeds. Thanks everyone for your advice and info. Much appreciated.

HOWEVER if I try to put 2 48 volt 13 AH Allcell packs together to make a 90 volt battery it comes to 1692.00 still cost less and better warranty BUT 17.2 pounds versus HPC's 13.88 pounds
and HPC is down the street...so no shipping HPC is right choice for me but allcell may be better for you depending on voltage of your system and your location

I decided to go with 2 HPC 52 volt 13 AH batteries in series for 104 volt system....will let u guys know how it goes....two comes out to 15.78 pounds which would be lighter than 2 allcell 48 volts in series for 96 volts at 17.2 pounds BUT I believe you can get 2 allcell packs for less....for me,higher voltage at a lower weight is more inportant than cost- IF they last

I got the 90volt hpc elite 13ah batteries now on the hs4060 motor and get 47mph with 29" wheels pretty happy so far
