Hi ive been reading and learning as much as i can from the forum im getting close to starting on my bike i understand enough about motors batteries volts etc to figure out most things i need to do but the one thing i cant seem to get a clear picture on is the throttle, i understand how its fitted and conected etc but the feeling im gettin from reading many articals on it is is that it wont work just by plug and play and may be jerky or give an "all or nothing" respone when twisting it, ive read that people have used "throttleizer" but also that its not reliable or they've stop making them is there a way i can sort this problem out when i get to it by programming the esc etc ? i have read some topics on it but it seems to be wrote by people with a lot of knowledge and comment on by people who under stand i cant really work out what they mean a lot of the time if anyone can help i would really appreciate it if you could do it in a simple way i can understand thanx [the set up im want to run is astro 8150 to cc esc 120 or 160 to a magura throttle with watever else is needed] thanx for any help

U,
unless you have a Lot of seat time on a motorcycle & really paid attention you will probably not have any issue with the magura throttle & servo driver set up that we use for RC type builds.

I am guilty of complaining about the "steps" of motor controll the speedcontrolls make, but to be honest it is only an issue with very powerful twin motor set-ups. I am certain 99% of the users here would not be able to feel the steps in speed controll.

The other thing is adding some "padding" resiters to the throttle to elliminate the "dead" spot in throttle controll. Very easy to do & again, not really required for max enjoyment. It will work fine if you don't mind the the 1st 1/8 turn of throttle movment to not register.

I agree with Thud. Below 10kw, throttle response is very good with a simple servo tester throttle.

Oh, let me know when you want an Astro motor and Castle controller. I can set you up.! :D
