I have this charger and want to crank up the cut off voltage a bit. I see two pots one covered in white goo the other is not.

Don't adjust those 2 you have pictured. The one you want is by the output cord.

Couple of quick questions:

1) Is this charger ok to use without Fechter's current limiter that has to be used with MeanWell type chargers??? Can this charger "current limit" itself to not damage itself & burn out like MW's do???

2) To adjust voltage up or down too, then that is the confirmed adjustment point near the power output cord??? Someone please post a pic with a pointer to the exact adjustment spot/screwhead. You can use the pic already posted to do that too. ;) Is it the screwhead pictured with 502 next to it???

Btw, how do you like the unit??? Do you think it is good for a portable charger too???

Thanks! :D

I was able to adjust the pot next to the output cord to change the final charge voltage. I have been happy with this charger. I don't think one would need to use the Fechter board since this unit is a battery charger not a power supply and is designed to taper charge current. The Fechter board allows charge current to be adjusted on a power supply. I will add a pic of the pot I adjusted soon.

When you up the voltage the amps go down, but is there any other thing to ajust CC-Cv. ? Or what else changes ? I turned up my 48v5a Ping (60.1v) to 74.3v and it dosn't cycle like my 2a Ping. But it's at 61.3v and can't be turned up. Does yours cycle at top of charge ?
