Hi,

Any ideas re the wires running around the bike and how to conceal/obscure them? (don't want it to look like a DIY job) there's not some nifty product like a tube you run wires through then attach perhaps?

tks

I like this , it look very clean and protect from rubbing

I used some long sections of shrink tube. I found some at a discount tool shop that sells cheap Chinese import tools
4 foot sections of various sizes for about $3.00 for 6 pieces. What a bargain ! Cal-term was the brand I think

I've seen builds where all the wiring was run into the frame through some holes drilled in it. Seemed to me to be a bit much. I just use lots of smal zip ties to secure wires to any existing cable sheath, and then use little velcro strips to secure wires to the frame where there is nothing else handy. To me it looks fine. The wires are in a sheath, so I don't worry about chafing much. My Ev global came with some cool little sheaths that were like a spiral of stiff plastic. They work great for bundling a few wires, like around the handlbars. I think you can get that stuff in computer stores, maybe radio shack, for bundling computer wires.

I use the spiral wrap from Radio Shack (or where ever) to bring all the individual sets into a single bundle. It is a bit of a pain to install/deinstall but the spiral allows pairs to pop out at intervals. I may consider the split stuff as well. My suggestion is to use velcro straps instead of zip ties to tie the bundle to the frame. This is predicated on frequent wiring changes to which I seem prone. If this setup were stable (no controllers blowing up, no connectors failing, no nothing so I don't have to do diagnostics), I would shrink wrap wire bundles and zip-tie. If you color coordinate the shrink wrap with the frame and tie it up to the frame good it is pretty hard to see. My bundle is black on a blue frame and it doesn't seem to stand out much.

Bike couriers and many urban fixed gear or single speed enthusiasts (who typically use road frames with standard main triangles) use pipe insulation to protect the top tube from scratches and dents. They usually then cover the pipe insulation with a sheet of vinyl and some velcro (sort of like BMX padding.) You could cut some channels and run the wires through it - then cover/hide the ends using some plastic tubing or shrink tubing and a heat gun.

How about using some flat, adhesive backed, speaker wire. They make it up to 10 or 12 AWG (rated for 20 amps), and could probably used for most wires in an e-bike - except the main power leads. And even then, one could just double or tipple layer the wires. Paint over the top, and Bob's your uncle!
