How to make winter tires using zip ties

That looks like a great idea. With the right plastic and tire it would work great. You could even add a screw to make sure the strap does not come out of the tie.

Hmmm . May be a emergency fix for getting home , but to me that looks like a disaster waiting to happen. If you live where it snows , buy proper winter tires.

With these , you can ride places unfit to walk.

edit: One thing , and this is important.. Do not hang your as back over the seat when going downhill. Or as the manual says "please prevent assmunch"

sweet, you could spin the zip ties around and use the "knobs" for deep snow. Ill have to keep this in the back pocket just in case...

I doubt those zip ties do much for sideways grip !
..and you better not try it if you have rim brakes ! :lol:
