How to use ebike throttle with esc???

I have just received my esc in the post and soldered the connectors on it, it is ready for bench testing with my small outrunner.

How do I run this using a ebike throttle? Sorry for the newbie question but eager to spin up the motor.

NOTE: this is a resister throttle set up & not a hall throttle set up....many ways to skin this cat & a few threads covering the question...from bec circuts to the cycle anilyst.
