Hello, I am now wanting to wire a new 4-pin display to replace the oem 5-pin display thinking that may be the (no power no display) problem:(. As previously mentioned ,I have replaced the controller with OEM one and new battery, tested with ebike tester and motor lines lall light up. So I am hoping this new 4 pin display will power the scooter up so i can use it. I searched online but was unable to find an exact 5 pin Lenzod dashboard display so I ordered the 4 pin Ninebot one to replace the oem 5pin one. The throttle is OEM so I am not sure it works.O
The old oem display plays a short tune and 1 beep but no display.

OR is there a way to get it going without display (maybe a different throttle)??
I do not want to burn up anything so I am hopeful someone can help me get the wiring correct connected.
Pics att:
-OEM DISPLAY is the red one.
-New Display (Ninebot) is the Black one.
Thank you in advance.

Do you have a link to the new OEM controller? Generally, unless the display and controller are purchased together, it's unlikely that a new display will work, especially if it's not the same manufacturer as the controller, and even if they are, they still may not work. Since you are OK will running without a display, there's a chance that you could jumper a couple of wires to turn the controller on.

Unfortunately, after doing a bit of research, it doesn't look like it's going to work without the correct display, which appears to be a custom version of the M365, not found on their websitehttps://www.lenzod.com/b/ . It doesn't look like it's a matter of just a jumper, but a signal sent from the display to the controller. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't chance hot wiring it.

OK thanks alot , E-HP would an analog throttle work like att picture ? or would I need to get a new controller kit not (LENZOD brand) with throttle and display or kit with just throttle /no display?
I appreciate all your effort thanks:)

From the Amazon pics, it looks like the throttle connects to the display, and the display sends the throttle signal to the controller, so I don't see a way of connecting it directly to the controller. You need a controller that supports a throttle input. Display is based on your preference, but not required.
The first kit looks similar to what you already have. That might be a good choice.

Thanks E-HP, thank you for your info ...how would I know if a controller supports throttle input?. Also, last night I opened up the old OEM controller and found this -see pic .
Now I believe this seller sold me a water damaged scooter :(😒He told me it just needed a battery as his cousin has same scooter and his battery worked...downright lie.
Do you think it is worth trying to save? and anything else I can do to save it, I really dont want to spend much more on it.
How could I tell if my new controller has throttle input ?

Thanks again E-HP

If they are sold together like the couple you linked. If not, the controller description should state it. The throttle connector is usually a3 pin/wire connector. Also, the label on the controller will frequently state the valid throttle voltage range. E.g. “Speed set 1-4.2V” or something similar.
Bummer about the water damage.
