Hi.
I'm currently searching for a motor and a controller for my electric go kart (because the controller overheated and broke) and I want some advice. I found this website (https://www.miromax.lt/en/m-6-eko_transportas) and this one (http://www.devi-motion.com/webshop/bldc-motor/p-1/D1000112.html) and they sell the golden motor HPM5000B and they recommend the VEC300 motor controller to go with it. I searched about the controller on the ES forums and found some users that had some issues with it. I also found the Kelly controller KLS7240D and it seems interesting (and a bit cheaper).

The motor and controller will be going on this go kart:

Maybe 5kw it's too much for it, but considering that I will be riding at my property on a circuit might be fine and also doing some skids  .
I've seen some users talking good about the HPM5000B, If you have another suggestion of what controller (preferably one that can be programmed with a computer) or motor I should get feel free to comment about it. My budget is around 1000€/1000$ and I will keep the batteries that I have.
Thanks a lot and stay safe.

Buy from www.goldenmotor.ca because the service provided is top notch!
Looks like that website has changed URL's to https://goldenmotor.bike/

5kw is fine, depending on your weight and the total weight of the go kart and the terrain.

Here is the 10kw version for $1280 - https://goldenmotor.bike/product/48-volt-10kw-bldc-motor-air-cooled/
Here is the 5kw version for $750 - https://goldenmotor.bike/product/48-volt-5kw-bldc-motor-air-cooled/
3kw for $486 - https://goldenmotor.bike/product/72-volt-3kw-bldc-motor-air-cooled/

You can drool over this https://goldenmotor.bike/product/hpm-20-kw-liquid-cooled-bldc-motor/

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for not providing the zone I live.
Unfortunately I live in Europe (Spain), and the nearest place I could find the motor is in the Netherlands and second in Lithuania. I don't know if the Canada supplier will ship to Spain, maybe I will contact them.

www.golenmotor.ca aka [whatever I said in previous post]..... supply to anywhere in the world with top notch support.
They are much better to deal with the flaky www.goldenmotor.com people.

The cost of the product along with import/duty taxes will dictate which route you go.

I've seen the motor that I would like to buy, but the shipping cost is almost the same as the motor so I discarded that option.
Thank you anyways! :bigthumb:
