I picked up a hs3540 senserless motor fairly cheap. What the most voltages i can run with that sensorless motor. What can i use for a controller and can i program it for different voltages. I want to make a stealth electric bike that will go about 30. Is that motor capable of that and does it pose a problem that it sensorless. I'm really confused about my controller options. Any advice would be appreciated This will be my fouth bike project after i finish my trike which is the process of being paited if the weather cooperates with me T :?: hank

The hs is safe at low volts, if you need 30mph you can do it at 48v 30amp. You can get a crystalyte controller at any ebike store. Many of us buy from lyen who is a member of this forum, his controllers are programmable via usb.

TRY lyen... I HAVE A HS 3540 SENSORLESS WITH A SENSORLESS CONTROLLER FROM lYEN... 36V,40AMP WITH ca CONNECTOR... HE CAN MAKE YOU ANY CONTROLLER YOU MIGHT NEED

I also have 3540hs and the lyen sensorless controller and its awsome . i ve been running mine at 66 volts. Its winter up here in anchorage alaska. i got mine at the begining of winter so ive been runnig real slow 15 mph and under i have mine at the very low 15 amp and 35 phase and i still can got 25 plus. i have studded tires full winter gear and a rear truck and side bags. im pushin 250 myself. defently get the usb cable for complete adjustabilty. i tried it at the 40 and 95 setting and that was crazy ast to fast for icy roads . Go with the Lyen controllers youll be happy

Another vote for Edward.

I have two of his sensorless controllers and two HS3540 and they are both excellent.

One I run at 66.6v in my KMX and the other in my son's bmx at 74.0V both are great fun.

Another good thing about Lyen controller - it has regen braking...
