I think we will sign off now. If anyone is interested in the Group Buy you know where we are. People like Tyler Durden have made it intolerable to continue to dialog with the rest of you. I am sure we will not be missed by their ilk.

Thanks - but LiFeBATT is signing off now. You can keep in touch with us through our website IF you have any further interest ?

Sincerely,

Don Harmon

Got anything better than that ?

Got an address for this or the other "LifeBatt" building?

EMF, go change your tampon.

When a business entity publishes photos of ficticious facilities it is fraud, no matter how bad the artwork is.

A room with seven people and battery printing equipment does not make a factory. At best, LifeBatt is an integrator, building packs from PSI cells.

I have to say that Tyler Durden is the biggest jagoff on the planet and we don't need to indulge him any further. Both buildings are real. We are negotiating a buy offer on the one in Las Vegas and yes it does have a logo put on there by me. We plan to move into the Vegas facility by September this year and it also says that on our website. The other building shown in Taiwan is our new mfg. headquarters. LiFeBATT, Taiwan occupies the entire 4th level of this structure.

How is life in Johnstown Tyler, and what do you do for a living besides bothering people ?

Oh- And have a nice day!

Don Harmon

Sorry dude, that is just uncalled for. If you are expecting batteries to be made in massive factories on an assembly line you are wrong. Building lithium batteries is a very precise process often done in large rooms where personnel can monitor the production process.

Here, check this out.

The guy is like a dog that chases cars and never gets hit. Anyway, I just got in for some cells. I guess this is all that matters at the moment, not countering some dipsh*t hiding behind a keyboard with too much time on his free hand...

And that address would be...

Why don't you Google it on Earth Map like you did before, jagoff. While you are at it post a picture of your Johnstown house too! Don't hide behind a keyboard like a coward!
Be a man and grow up please. Everyone here is getting bored with your diatribe by now.

Nice address....

...bullshitter.

It is a very nice address - brand new building in Taipei. :D

Thanks,

Don Harmon
Dude, don't feed the trolls. Put him in the phantom zone with the foes list. I just did. He is never going to stfu. And the moderation on these boards here is non-existant - it's all you can do.

We all see now that this guy is a douche. Maybe someday we wont have to put up with this kind of thing. But, for right now, I have not seen any management going on around here.

Um Hum...

That's why some guys are in smocks, some in sweaters, some wearing masks... containers on the floor... I usually wear shorts & a t-shirt in all the laminar-air cleanrooms I work in.

So glad you mentioned that. The new mfg. facility, which is shown on the website and Melvin also posted here, is now all laminar-air cleanroom environments. It has to be for us to keep our Phostech mfg. license. So if you do visit the factory as an OEM customer there will be no more close up looks. You will have to watch behind glass as the mfg. of quality LiFePO4 using Phostech Lithium depends on clean room technology.

Just one of the differences that LiFeBATT employs to make us number one - well maybe someday!!

Thanks,

Don Harmon

That would be the "brand-new building in Taipei", which has no street address in the country's biggest city:

:?

Hmmmm... this looks a lot more like Hsinchu Science Park than Taipei...

It would make more sense to be close to PSI... like in the same building.

:?

Wow, it must be Sunday - Picture time hooray! Here is a picture of my lovely partner Michelle visiting the factory in Taipei. On her right is Alan Hsu, CEO of LiFeBATT, Taiwan. On her left is Mr. Thorsten Lars, CEO of Phostech Lithium, Canada & Jimmy Lin - our best friend who is Allen's right hand man & our liason with the factory.

Cheers!

sorry i just can't resist. Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? you who hide behind a fictitious name and avatar? "TylerDurden" Talk about being a public fraud. or noxious substance at least.

all this over who actually produces the battery? well in that case you can't trust the big names either. Year before last when my Sony laptop battery was recalled one of the reasons given was that there was an error in Quality Control at the Sub-Contractor who actually built the batteries for Sony. yet the label on the cells and pack read Sony. I guess you didn't have one of those packs otherwise i would have enjoyed seeing you go after Sony.

Regardless the batteries themselves are real. they work and soon they will be here.

from what i gather LifeBatt is presently out of stock on cells and packs. sold out actually. the next bulk shipment of packs is not for several months. That shipment is for their actual market which is complete packs for use in telecom/computer backup supplies and the automotive market. nothing to do with bikes at all. Because bikes are his passion and not his market that order will not include loose cells. that is the reason for this group buy of cells. it is specifically to supply a batch of loose cells to those who want them. it will be shipped earlier than the bulk purchase and by different means. since this is a special order Don is only shipping enough of them for those who buy them.

Miroslaw ordered a pack and does not want to wait until the fall to get it so it is coming separately as well.

rick

PS - "TylerDurden" i wish i knew who you were. at least then i might be able to understand your almost irrational fight with Don Harmon. i have dealt with Don on a couple of occasions and so far he has been honest and upfront with me.

Don't worry about it Rick. Tyler or" Melvin" or whatever we all call him is some punk from Johnstown, PA which is why I refer to to him as a "jagoff". Being born and raised in Pittsburgh myself I totally understand his type. I grew up with these kind of guys. They are still stuck in the same old town they grew up in and have never been anywhere else in the world except maybe to an occasional Steeler's game, which is about all that I would envy him for! Pathetic soul, lost in the fantasy of his delusional keyboard persona and his dysfunctional day job. Please don't anybody write and tell me how "un-professional" it is to treat a "potential customer" like this. Mr. Tyler Durden has long been a detractor of LiFeBATT for unknown reasons - at least to me ? I have a website and I am accessible. He could call me anytime he wants but has he ? NO - this is his form of amusement and he wouldn't have the BALLS to actually call me up and talk directly to me. Hell, he can call me collect and I will pay for the call!

Cheers Tyler/Melvin - and have a shitty day!

hi all
as a user of pings batteries I was doing a search and found this thread, so I read it from start to finish.

I have a few things to say:-
tyler you seam to be acting like randy.
don those cells of your are great just not sutable for me.
the ping cells and dons cells are as diffrent as chalk and cheese.
pings packs are ideal for cycles dons for cars.
the only time that a pack from don has an advantage is short range high current draw with a small battery ah's say 10.
pings are not as robust but most people make cases for them.
for any large size(ah) pack ping has an advantage in bikes the cost of similar size(ah) packs from don would be much more expensive and as yet there is no real life data on how long a ping battery will last in a cycle though a lot are trying.
we do have data on dons cells but at the moment the cells do seam to be aimed at cars and cycles are an after thought.

don please do not be offended these are a combination of observation and opinon

Only one comment Geoff. Actually our cells were designed for e-bikes. I took the company in the direction of Automotive becauase I realized early on that was where the dollars were via A123. Without big orders we couldn't afford to make our cells for a smaller market segment like e-bike. Look at all the flack I had in the beginning from all the e-bike guys regarding our price. Now because we have the funding and the contracts from several Automotive Companies (don't ask for names) we are able to come back and help you guys out with some Cells. Our problem is our HPS Pack format doesn't suit e-bikes. Yes it was not designed for that. But our Cells are really very suited to this market.

The reason I say this is because using the Ping analogy - it is always better to have a higher capacity amp hour draw because the cells will last much longer. So the real question with the Ping packs in an e-bike is how long they will last ? When the Point One Lipos came out everyone was thrilled until they started losing their stuff after 300 cycles. My advice to people planning to build an e-bike pack is to design a 25% + Ah. factor into it.

Best,

Don Harmon

I don't understand why Don won't post the address. Strong words and pictures from someone over the internet don't mean a thing. It seems rather suspect to me that a business owner would waste their time on a small forum, arguing with someone and exchanging hostile words. That sounds like someone with a lot of time on their hands. I have seen business owners frequent forums before, but they were always very proper and respectful even to detractors.

All Tyler ever said was he didn't believe your photos were authentic(which is impossible to be sure of either way, since photo shop is so easy to use now, and you can make anything you want.) and asked for a valid address of the new facility. I didn't catch any direct insults unless I didn't read hard enough. Don was very direct and very insulting. Just answer the question or go away. and to all the people like EMF... mind your own business, if Don is legit he doesn't need you to tell us, and by doing so you aren't proving anything either, just wasting disk space on the server.

This image is suspect to me, there is a light reflection over the A in Lifebatt. There should be a corresponding reflection in the other parts of the picture, namely the woman's sunglasses. And conveniently or not you cannot read the guys name tag... I am no expert, but I don't think it proves anything...

As a side note, I don't really have an opinion on the matter, I don't know if Don is or isn't telling the truth and I am certainly not going to argue about it. I just dont care, I only posted to clarify the issue, lets try to avoid insults in the future.
